Is Princess Diaries 3 coming out? ›

Disney has signed on for a third installment, The Hollywood Reporter announced on Nov. 15, 2022. TV writer Aadrita Mukerji (Reacher, Supergirl) is penning the script. The film will be a continuation of the Princess Diaries story rather than a reboot.

The film grossed over $134 million worldwide and received mixed reviews from critics. A sequel is currently in development.
